I’m in love! Remember a few weeks ago when I talked about getting in shape and how I’m starting to like it? Well, I still hate running. So very much. But, I’m loving biking even more than I hate running, and that’s a lot! Steven and I started doing much longer rides (about 30 miles) and it was really starting to hurt on my cruiser. So we talked about it and decided to get me a lighter bike so I could keep up with his road bike. We were looking at hybrids but after visiting quite a few shops we realized they weren’t for me. So after a little over a week lusting at road bikes on the internet we finally started to call around and see if anyone had one in my size. Apparently bike shops don’t usually carry the smallest size frame and no one had anything in my price range :( Road bikes are expensive dude!! Anyway I was about to give up all hope of being able to try out something before I bought it when I finally called a shop in Port Charlotte (about an hour from where we are) and they had something!!! It was a tad out of my price range but Steven said we should go check it out anyway. Well I fell in love. Meet Deannondale, or Greennondale, or Cannondean. We can’t pick one Community reference yet.

that is one gorgeous bike!
it so nice to hear you found something you really love doing (:
i still have to drag myself to the gym, haha!
xo, cheyenne
Oh I am sooo not a gym person! I get SO bored :( I’ve tried books, music, even going with my husband and I still can’t do it!
OOOHHH! It’s so pretty!!! Congrats!!! I kept meaning to tell you to look at road bikes if you want to keep biking long distances. They work so much better than hybrids for that.
I really, really need to get my bike tuned up. I think it’s been a little over a year. Blurg.
But are you talking about getting clips wen you say shoes? I hear they’re great for distance riding but I’m too scared to get them sine I stop and go so much. And if you ride a lot you can lose a nail from the shoes. Although, it does grow back eventually.
I highly recommend a camel back to keep hydrated in that Florida heat. It’s easier than constantly reaching down for a water bottle.
Steven has a camel back, I’m not ready to get one yet. I’ve been fine with a water bottle so far. Plus we keep a backup in the car so when we get back I have that too. Also as for shoes I’m talking about actual shoes. Like the types of sneakers they make with very hard soles so that your foot isn’t bending constantly around the peddle. I’d google a pair and show you, but google is being a giant asshole right now.
That bike is beautiful! Robbie and I have been talking about buying bikes for a couple of years, but we haven’t done it. Whenever we do it, he can drive the bike with the baby seat attached.
I’ve been joking about getting one of those for our dog, but since so far our top speed has been 16.9 miles an hour, i don’t think our dog would like it hahahah
